Doomsday prophecy from ‘Italian Nostradamus’ is about to come true, observers claim

Perhaps it’s the impending presidency of Donald Trump, but there seems to be an unusually large number of doomsday prophecies doing the rounds at the moment.

The latest reason we’re all doomed?

A 500-year-old apocalyptic prophecy from Italian philosopher Matteo Tafuri – which seems to be ‘coming true’.

Tafuri – who lived from 1492 to 1582 – warned that two consecutive days of snow in Salento spelt bad news for the human race.

And guess what just happened in Salento? So far, there have not been two consecutive days in the balmy resort town – but the region has seen icy weather.

Naturally, the conspiracy theory community has run with it, and is predicting the end of mankind as soon as there’s a bit more snowfall.

Tafuri wrote, ‘Salento of palm trees and mild south wind, snowy Salento but never after the touch.

“Two days of snow, two flashes in the sky, I know the world ends, but I do not yearn.
